Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a branch of the health sciences which focuses upon the body's neuromusculoskeletal system. A chiropractor is concerned with how your body's skeletal and nervous system is functioning. Since your spine is the key highway for your central nervous system, a chiropractor is trained to use a variety of diagnostic methods to examine and treat your spine and bone structure.
Although the major focus of chiropractic is on the spine and central nervous system, your chiropractor is concerned with the wellness of your whole body. Since your nervous system determines how well you feel physically, mentally, and emotionally, many problems you are experiencing may be related to a problem with your spine and nervous system.

Acupuncture
What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used medical procedures in the world. Originating in China more than 2000 years ago, acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and to improve functioning. This is done by inserting needles and applying heat or electrical stimulation at very precise acupuncture points.
How does Acupuncture work?
The modern scientific explanation is that needling the acupuncture points stimulates the nervous system to release chemicals in the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These chemicals will either change the experience of pain or they will trigger the release of other chemicals and hormones which influence the body's own internal regulating system. The improved energy and biochemical balance produced by acupuncture results in stimulating the body's natural healing abilities and in promoting physical and emotional well-being.
What type of conditions can Acupuncture treat?
Acupuncture can be used to treat a wide variety of medical conditions. Below is a list of some of the more common conditions that are treated by Dr. Ted.

Movement and Mobility Training
Functional Range Conditioning, or FRC®, is a trademarked system of mobility and joint control training, which, unlike many current systems, is based in scientific principals and research. It utilizes the latest advancements in scientific knowledge, combined with tried and tested training methods to increase ones active, useable ranges of motion by simultaneously improving articular mobility, strength/resilience, and neurological control.
FRC® works by systematically expanding the body’s ranges of motion, while simultaneously teaching the nervous system how to control the newly acquired ranges.
As our ability to generate force across the joint lessens, we lose the ability to actively control the range of motion. Thus these long, and short ranges are only accessible to us via passive means and are therefore essentially useless from a movement, functional perspective. Further, because the longer and shorter ranges are not utilized, the joints tissues never develop the ability to absorb loads at those ranges leaving them susceptible to injury.
Thus through specific, and safe training methods we are able to ‘capture’ passive ranges of motion and convert them into usable, active ranges. In addition, during the development of improved mobility, the system ensures the simultaneous development of tissue strength and resilience in the newly acquired ranges.(1)

Golf Performance
Dr. Ted Niejadlik provides 2-D video swing analysis, physical screening and exercise prescription to help the golfer improve their game. The video analysis is utilized to show the golfer the various swing characteristics that they may have. Dr. Ted uses advanced analysis software to examine the biomechanics of the golf swing and has built a library of many PGA Tour players’ swings so that a comparison can be made with your swing and the pros.
Below are some of the more common swing characteristics:
Early Extension- One of the most common lower body swing faults found on all levels of players.
Loss of Posture- Defined as any significant alteration from your body's original set up angles during your golf swing.
Chicken Winging- Creates a loss of width through impact and limits the player's ability to develop speed or power.
Slide- Defined as any excessive lower body lateral movement towards the target during your downswing.
Sway- Excessive lower body lateral movement away from the target during your backswing.
S Posture- The number one cause of lower back pain in golf.
C Posture- Can affect the width of your backswing.
Reverse Spine Angle- This is the number one swing fault that can cause lower back pain.
Over the Top- This swing fault affects the path of the club and can produce the dreaded slice.
Early Release or Scooping- This causes a major loss of power in the golf swing.
A physical screening is then conducted to determine if there are any mobility or stability issues or even physical limitations that may cause the different swing characteristics. Exercise prescription or treatment options are then discussed to address any issues or limitations.
Dr. Ted will work with each individual golfer to help them to improve their game and reduce injury while they are playing.
